DATE: 04-24-03
SURFACE TEMP: 64.8 in am (cold front got us)
WATER LEVEL: Right at full pool

CRAPPIE: I do not have to tell you what you already know.Crappie fishing has been tough as nails. The fish we are taking have gone
back deep. Everything we are catching is full of eggs. There are some good drops in Canoe. They are on the map. They are some
good drops in Broughton Springs. As there is in Beaver. And I hate to say it, since I sell jigs, but minnows are working better. If you
really fish hard, 15-20 is a great day. They should come back to the bank if the weather will just stabilize. You only hope is a good
map and great electronics.

BASS: Bass fishing has been a whole lot better than crappie.Rat'l Traps, Pig-N-Jig, Crankbaits. Shallow points, back end of coves,
some spot activity on the rip-rap along the old river channel. Spinnerbait will work with all the above. Chartreuse.

BREAM: The bream have run to the bank on Guntersville.Have limited out everyday that I have gone. Will keep 100 and maybe have
1 female. The good news is the best is yet to come.

STRIPE: Catching a few in the tailwater and that is about all I can tell you about stripe.

Thanks, Steve 256-927-6617
