There is a material that comes in a small bottle that will make the screw driver grip better. I've found it at flea markets, hardware stores, auto stores.
This stuff really works. Can be used with all gripping tools, wrenchs, sockets, screw drivers. Even rounded out phillips screws can be removed..
All that it is, is a light weight oil with some fine grit in it, like valve grinding compound.
Just looked up the stuff that I have. It's called,
Craftsman, "GripDoctor Rx" .5oz Cost was about $1.95...
It's never let me down yet and has got me out of some tough spots. Always use the correct size tool though.
