DATE: 04-17-03
LAKE LEVEL: 563 and a little (There is a God)
FULL POOL: 564.0 ( Thank you Alabama Power)
SURFACE TEMP: 64.5 AM - 67.9 PM

CRAPPIE: The water has finally come up and the fish have gone shallow. Still catching a lot of short fish but some pretty good one's
in there with them. Back end of coves and creeks has the warmest water and the most fish. Most any structure you see will hold fish. I
am fishing about 1-1/12 deep on a float. I see minnow fishermen doing about the same thing and also doing well. The docks are
holding a lot of fish but not many keepers. My best color has been red/blue/white and bubble gum. The fish are turning black. Some of
them are spawning now.

BASS: 1/2 oz Rat'l Traps.Long shallow points. Humps and sand bars.Pig-n-jig around the docks and rock piles.

BREAM: Bream are coming in hot and heavy on Guntersville. 2 foot deep of water around the banks. Some of them are hogs. We had
3 limits of fish in 4 hours today.

CATFISH: Any fish cleaning station, plant both feet and hold on!

We are catching a lot of short fish. Please! Mash your barbs flat.Do as little damage as possible. The water is up. That doesn't mean
you can run around everywhere and not have a 1/2 off prop sale. Thanks, Steve,Cheryl,Butch & Harry
