Depends on the size you have--if you have some around 2 inches, then they are great smallmouth/spot baits. If you have the 3in plus red ones (like the louisiana ones that are edible) they are better for cats--almost too big for smallies. You can drift them in current (ie below the dam), or slip bobber rig them and fish bluffs (wilson lake is a great place to sliprig craws) But definitely cut the tips of the claws and hook through the tail.
