The right color depends on water color, light, and what the fish want just like everywhere else. The water is pretty muddy most places right now so fire tiger or chartreuse should work pretty good. When the water clears up I'll swap over to chrome/blue or something close to that.

Yesterday I couldn't get bit on a trap. Spinnerbaits and jigs were the ticket, at least for me. I talked to a couple folks that said they were pre-fishing for the BFL tournament. They claimed to have thrown a trap all day long without a bite. I saw a LOT of fish being weighed in at Goose Pond as I was leaving, looks like somebody had it figured out.
