Guys, I hear so many needing a "fix" this weekend that I thought I'd help you out. I drove to Elk River this morning. Water is full pool and moderate current moving. Color is ok, not normal color, not muddy. It will certainly be fishable this weekend. Drove to First Creek and Second Creek also. Both are clear in backends, slightly dingy mid-creek. Water is obviously full pool now, but it is dropping fast. I suspect the level will fall over a foot in next 24 hours. Any feeder creeks will be gin clear up on Elk. Crappie were starting to pickup in the feeder creeks (Anderson and Sugar Creek) and in deeper sloughs a few weeks ago (pre-flood!) BUT, it certainly is not as bad as some of you think. However, I'm like Kerry - watch out for floating debris and wear a life jacket!
