Although this is not a "fishing related message", I have always tried to note the passage of time in events and human terms that I think most people can relate to.

I sincerely think this is one of those cases. Fred Rogers was one truly original TV personality in that he was always himself and always thought of himself as a neighbor who dropped by for a half hour to share some time with children all over this country.

I can say that there are times that I have watched Mr. Rogers in the afternoon even after my son was older because it was really the best thing on the tube at the time.

The country has truly lost a national treasure with his passing. Fortunately, he has left a generous lot of himself in the Mr. Rogers series of TV shows. If you have kids or will have kids, you will learn to appreciate his show and his humanity.

Fred Rogers, died of stomach cancer at 74 this morning at his home in Pittsburg, PA.

Good luck and good fishin'

Kerry
