DATE: 2-24-03
LAKE LEVEL: 563.
NORMAL POOL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: 52.3
WATER CLARITY: Horse of a different color

CRAPPIE: I found some fishable water in Powerhouse. I started about 7:45 pulling a 1/16th and a 1/132. Fish suspended down about
6-7 feet down in 10-12 feet of water. We caught a ton of small fish. 9/12-93/4. At 1 pm the fish moved up to 4-5 feet deep in 10 feet of
water. I was pulling 1 1/32. at 1.3 troll speed.

BASS: You do not want to know.

STRIPE: Picked up some stripe trolling for crappie in Powerhouse.

BREAM: Too much mud and too high wind.

WHITE BASS: Don't have a clue.

CATFISH: All you want.

I have already told you that Powerhouse was clear.
Crazy Woman is fishable.
Bay Springs is borderline.
The noses are turning muddy.
Yellow Creek, part is fishable and part is not.
That is about the ballgame.

The real mud has not reached the lower end yet. But, the coves and creeks should start to clear in 3-5 days if we do not get any more
rain. There is a ton of logs and trees floating down and you cannot see them until you are right on top of them. Be careful! Good
Fishing, Steve www.weisslakeguideservice.com
