I have fished every little cut and eddy on the south side of the river from Wilson dam down to O'Neal bridge and I grew up in Florence. However, I didn't know that used to be a steam plant intake. I always thought it had something to do with the construction of the dam or with Diamond Shamrock which used to be in that area.

In any case, yes, I have fished it and would have tried there and a few other places, but since I was on the bank I didn't feel like making the long hike to get there. (grin)

Good luck and good fishin'

Kerry

P.S.

There are huge piles of "something" above that area. It looks like grey sand, but I don't know exactly what was dumped and possibly is still being dumped there. With the chemical and fertilizer plants that were in that area, who knows what it might be?
