LAKE LEVEL: 559.4
NORMAL FULL POOL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: Low 40's
WATER CLARITY: Upriver kinda dingy, Chatooga not real good either.Generally you can fish about everything.
CRAPPIE: Crappie had just started to come along when we had another big cold snap. Harry fished Sunday with a guide party and he
had 29 keepers.Caught probably 100. He was tightlining jigs in brushtops.Color didn't seem to matter. It seems like for the past few
days crappie go shallow to 3-4 feet in 4 feet of water. The trollers are catching a few.Blue/blue/blue seems to be the color. If you get
out here on some of these breaks & drops use your trolling motor and look for structure. Whoever said fishing was easy has just never
BASS: Bass are being caught around rocks or rip-rap whichever. They have moved off the crankbaits with the cooler water and gone to
crawdad color pig-n-jig. Guess what? There is another big cold front and rain on its way in.Spring is coming believe it or not.
STRIPE: Had a stripe tournament here Saturday out of the Hawg's Den.The stripe are locked down. One 9 lb. fish came in first and a
little yellow bass came in second. These cold snaps are killing us. It will break loose again. When it does I will let you know.
BREAM: Guntersville bream still biting a little bit. If the weather will warm and stay that way it would be fun to put some kids into
them. Pretty good eating too.
CATFISH: Catfish cannot tell the difference. They are hungry all the time.
Warning: The water is up just enough to give you a false feeling of security.Be Careful!
