Ok im gonna cast my vote for tiller .I have a console now and have had for years but i grew up with a 30 hp johnson tiller and miss the manuverability it allows you when looking for that tree top or drop off .It has been my experience with my console that you have to make wider turns to go back and look at something that looks intresting on your bottom recorder, or when trying to find the top again once you run over it the first time after you throw your marker on it.I have learned to compensate for its slower and bigger turns(circling) and do ok with it but I still long for the days of that old crosby sled and tiller handle .Could turn on a dime and find places so much easier.I agree though if your not fishing underwater spots and gonna be doing a lot of running the console is the way to go.
