Launched below G'ville Dam Sat. Morn At 6:45 am. We had been catching quite a few small jacks and getting a nice one every once in a while.
This was pretty much the pattern we have found for the last several weekends. However last weekend we found a deep stretch of river in the 44' to 47' range that was stacked with some nice stripe. We caught about 50 with 40 of those going between 1 1/2lbs to 2 1/2lbs. It was'nt what we were looking for but it was lots of fun. However today was quite a disappointment. The weather was perfect. Not to much wind, partly cloudy and just the right amount of water running. We DID NOT catch a single jack of any size. Went where the stripe were last weekend and caught about 20. Got smaller than last week. Talkedto four other boats that also said that they had caught a few strip and no jacks at all. Left the ramp about 2pm
