It was a beautiful day on the river yesterday. We even got to watch a pair of Bald Eagles flying around doing the eagle thing. Nice.

The fishing was just OK. We had several small jacks and only one that measured at 15". Most of the bites came across from Painted Bluff. We saw several of the same being caught by others. We caught a couple of catfish and a even a skipjack down at 40 feet. That was weird. I haven't caught a single drum all year. Not that I like drum fishing. It's just that they are usually all over the place. I wonder what that's all about.

Man, it's hangy down there across from the bluff. I lost a few jigs. Someone could open a lead mining operation down that bank.

Could someone post as to how they are doing up at the dam?

Good luck,
Chris Hollis
