One type of structure that holds up well and sticks around for a long while is a stake bed kind of structure made from a shipping pallet. Take the top boards off the pallet and nail them in vertically along the supporting timbers internal to the pallet. Load it up with a few rocks or cinder blocks and send it to the bottom. You will get hung up in these on occassion, especially if you don't put all the verical slats facing the same way. However, these pallets will hold fish and last a long time if you get the pallets that are made of oak.
