I have a theory about the poor crappie harvest this spring and again this fall
We had the worst droubt 3 and 4 years ago that we have had in many years as could be seen
with so many 30 and 40 year oak trees dying. When the lakes were dropped in early spring those years and the normal rains did not come
the water stayed low all spring, the normal spawning teritories were not available.
Now, three years later we are seeing the results. This could be the common thread we have seen
for poor crappie fishing on all the lakes, including much of the Tennessee River.
How about some comment on this theory.
