I have never caught nor filleted a sauger but I am going to try fishing for these fish this winter. I was talking to my uncle this weekend and he was telling me that because of so many tiny bones in a sauger that you had to make small cuts along the fillets so that when you cooked them the tiny bones would curl up and fry to a crisp so you could eat them. I don't know if that made any sense or not but if there is anything different that you have to do to a sauger would someone let me know.
