Hello Pompano-- You are right about the jacks and Short Creek bridge. My best jack fishing ever was done there. My fishing buddy and myself caught some "stove pipe" sized jacks there several years ago.My biggest that day was one that weighed 3lbs.2oz.. I have it mounted on my wall. Ever since the new bridge was completed over Short Creek, the jack fishing there has not been the same.I think there is some old bridge debris under the new bridge. The water depth directly under the bridge used to be around 35 feet. I think that is somewhere in the 27 foot range now. They can still be caught there and timing is the key. You are very right... GOOD FISHING TO ALL......... LOUIS T.
