I agree with everything you stated. I for instance use a 4 ought hook on a 1/16th ounce jig head, and I pour my own jigs. I like to use the weeder for the reason of not having to tie jigs up each day! Be careful though or you can tie it on to thick. Anyway, becoming a line watcher is essential in catching crappie, this was probably the best tip I was taught. Many, many times you will not feel the hit, you just see it. If you fish enough you begin to learn how they feel, I think, you can tell a difference in bumping brush and a fish bumping it. Anyway, you have a great site and maybe we can get together and fish sometime. I live in Cedar Bluff and fish Weiss lake a lot, and I also fish Flint and PaintRock with my Grandfather.
