I have caught Sauger all day long, especially on overcast days with light wind. You should not have a problem catching some when conditions are ideal... Overcast sky, 45 to 50 degree water temp and current conditions. I am no expert but all species of fish seem to do better for me when it is overcast. Maybe this will encourage you to do have some luck and try during the day! You may want to check the game reports, they usually will give you some info as to when the fish are supposed to be feeding.. I am not to keen on it though! :) Good luck and good fishing!
