Thanks for a great story. Sounds like you found more crappie of quality than any one else yet to date. When you are fishing those blowdowns was there still vegetation on them or were they old blow downs? Any particular characteristic that made one type of a blow down better than another? (Current/depth?) Do you fish upstream or downstream and how tightly to the cover? Were you using just a jig, jig under a boober or minnows? If you are using a jig head what weight are you using? Did color seem to make any difference? I haven't done much crappie fishing like that before but anxious to give any successful technique a try. I've got to figure this crappie thing out, my two little girls have eaten all the fillets I had in the freezer and they keep complaining about no fish to fry. Thanks in advance for the info.
