I attempted to fish below G-ville Dam this afternoon for about an hour and a half. With the wind howling out of the NW today it was ROUGH! I managed to catch and release a 3.75 pound spotted bass and a 14.5 inch sauger for the table, my first of the season. I think I had a few other sauger bites but it was hard to get a good "feel" with all the wind. I'll try them again in the morning and report if I find any more of those tasty toothy critters. I used some of my left over creek minnows (fall fish) for both fish caught today. If the water will cool off a few more degrees the crankbait bite for spotted bass should get really turned on. The water temperature today was 69.5 degrees in the mid afternoon. Good Luck!
