You "might" catch smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass, saltwater stripe, hybrid stripe, catfish and of course, drum. Just make sure you obtain the bream legally, that is; hook and line. Netting or trapping bream for bait is illegal as it is a game fish, but legal to use for bait if obtained by legal means. Of course, I didn't have to tell you that. Did I? (smile)
If the cooler temps predicted actually, finally materialize, you won't need bream to catch good fish. Especially smallies! Although most folks use the shad (running very small lately, 1-1.5 inches) to catch smallies and stripes, I have found that the "baby" skip-jacks from 6 - 12 inches long are better in every way. They aren't usually hard to catch on a small jig and stay much more lively than any shad. Give it a try!
