Glad to hear you're doing better after the surgery. I hope you have a full and speedy recovery. Your reports are very detailed and greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure plenty of others that frequent this site.
I can add one item to your report for stripers on Weiss Lake. Spring Creek with live shad has been producing for me. It is so shallow and stumpy that you have to idle for several hundred yards then use a shallow set on the trolling motor to even make it up there. A shallow draft boat is a must. The fish are running from 5-11 pounds. I use 17# green mono with circle hooks and let the shad swim where they please. Many times they will jump out of the water to get away from the stripers -- it's only a temporary escape. Those big V wakes in the shallows sure get the adrenaline pumping.
