I am a school teacher in Georgia but I live in Alabama. I am an avid fishermen who fishes 200+ days a year. I have seen significant declines in fish population through the Coosa River chain lakes, but an increase in catches throughout the Guntersville lake area. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions to share about WHY? I have fished tournaments before and really enjoyed them but with my job it is tough to participate throughout the week. I believe that stripe eat enough fish to clean a place out fast, but Loons eat their share also. Weiss lake is currently trying to restock Crappie in order to make the lake strong again. I hope it works because water/fishing has done wonders for establishing a lifelong friendship with my grandfather, and I hope to pass this along to my children or grandchildren. I just would like to see more money spent towards education of taking care of our resources. Please post any opinions you might have. Thanks
