I have a Swifty 3.1 freshwater kayak that works great for fishing small creeks, rivers, and shallow coves. This isn't the kind of kayak you see on the Olympics. It is approx 9.5' long and real wide, thus making it very stable. You would really have to do something dumb to flip it. I bought mine through REI for $399 (minus 10% member cash back). But I think Wiley's carries them for around $379. They take a little getting used to but they will go anywhere and weigh less than 30lbs.
