Thought this other inquiry I ran across might be related to your problem??? . . . "Help! -- Pest Problem . . . Our family has lived here in this pond for uncountable generations. Recently a newly arrived non-native PEST species has overpopulated the area. They have come in and actually changed the face of the environment that had existed in perfect balance for a few millennia. They have created hard black tar-like trails all over the place and have cut down trees and erected hideous domiciles in what used to be beautiful pastures. NOW they are actually trying to kill us so they can have control of what used to be the peaceful environment that God lovingly shared with us. What can we do to rid our area of these pests? Someone suggested putting gators in our pond, but luring these danged two-legged critters into the water can be difficult, especially in the winter . . . Plus we're afraid these critters might be poisonous to the gators. Please HELP! If we don't stop them here in our pond, they may just take over the whole planet and destroy it! Signed, Buck T. Beaver"
