I haven't heard much about salts below Wheeler lately at all. I went there, from the bank yesterday, and there was nearly ZERO activity from the bank. I got there about 2pm and only stayed about 45 minutes, but that was long enough. I did see one young girl with her grandfather catching a few bream up at the covered area near the dam, but that was about it.

The turbines were supposed to have started at 12 noon that day and I did see about half a dozen boats out. The turbines that were really churning were farthest from the bank and the boats were all fishing out in that area and down past the power lines. I didn't see anyone doing much, but it is hard to see that far out. (grin)

As for the boils? Who knows, give it a try if you aren't finding them where you have been fishing. Just be careful especially if you are in a smaller boat! Those boils can get pretty hairy!

Good luck and good fishin'

Kerry

P.S.

I also stopped by Spring creek at the bridge on my way home. There were several people fishing and I saw a stringer of a very few small bass (not sure if they were sm's or lm's), but while I was there I didn't catch anything and didn't see anything caught.
