My son and I bass fished this morning near Goose Pond on Guntersville Lake and we saw a few sheds/casings from a "relatively small" willowfly hatch up there. The only bugs we saw were millions of little gnat looking critters. By the way, the topwater bite(Pop'n Image) for bass is wide open around the weed lines near the channel in 3-6 feet of water. Now is a good time to take a kid or any other bassin' novice to get them hooked on bass fishing. It's a pretty good time for experienced anglers too! Let 'em go so we can catch 'em again. Good Luck!
