Thanks for the report Ked. Apparently the cooler weather this year, compared to last year (we went from winter straight to summer last year I think) has kept quite a few nice shellies and gills from spawning/bedding early.
I went to Goosepond yesterday and caught a few nice shellcrackers, but it took a while to locate them and then the wind/weather drove me off...
along with the ski-boats and jetski's, not to mention the "peasure cruisers" (at least 25+ foot boats) that nearly swamped me while trying to get back into Goosepond. One passed me on my right within 20 feet going the same direction as I, while another one passed me within 30 feet going the opposite direction at the same time. Neither boat acted as if I was even there in my 14 foot boat. That was the closest I have ever been to swimming back to the ramp without my boat! IDIOTS!!! Didn't see the marine police anywhere.
Good luck and good fishin'
