LAKE LEVEL: 563.3
NORMAL FULL POOL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: 74 in am - 77 pm
WATER CLARITY: So So in the channel, better in the creeks.
CRAPPIE: Now that all the fishing pressure is off we are starting to see a few crappie come in, some of them pretty good fish. All of
them flat bellied. Most of the fish being caught around structure. The cooler days and nights seem to have turned them on a little
bit.Butch & Harry are both in fish.
BASS: The 3 of us had a "sit down" today.Bass fishing is pretty hot.Points, roadbeds, grass, buzzbaits early, spinner baits the
same.Later on in the day Carolina rig with French fry worms and lizards.
STRIPE: Butch & Harry fished today and located some stripe in Yellow Creek throwing spinner baits at them. They are not schooled
up real good yet.Surface temp still too cold.It won't be long.
BREAM: Guntersville: Still taking quite a few of them off the beds but this could end anyday.Larger bream & shellcrackers being
caught in 3-4 foot of water rather than 1-2 foot like it was.
CATFISH: Catfish are spawning around rip rap.
I am going on vacation Sunday. Will return Friday the 31st.If you need help or a guide trip call Butch at 706-862-2230.
Tip of the week: Take your kids fishing.Teach your kids to hunt and fish and you will not have to hunt your kids!
Everyone have a GREAT SUMMER!!
PS: Stripe fishing should get good and run thru June.Catch you when I get back. Thanks, Steve 256-927-6617
