I have sometimes found the Towncreek area to be tough, especially when the water is clear. Yes, you can find beds with hundreds of fish, but they can see you just as well as you see them. Not much grass in that area last time I was there. I saw a bunch of beds with some bull 'gills straight across the river from the statepark in the back of Siebold creek near the small airport while bass fishing a week or two ago. The water gets shallow and the milfoil makes it tough. I have been thinking of getting a flyrod and trying my luck, but not sure if it will happen this year. If not familiar with g-ville navigation, be careful along the southern shores of Siebold - there are some monster stumps! Hey... maybe that is the place to be... lots of 'foil around there too.

Good luck!
