I'm a novice at bream fishing, but found the fishing pretty easy last Friday. The beds are easy to find in 1-3 ft of water...I'm sure there are deeper beds but they're not as easily seen. Just work down the bank with a Beetle Spin, 1/32 oz, casting down the bank as if you were bass fishing. Eventually you will see or come across some beds. If you get too close you will spook the fish...no matter, just remember where it was and come back to it later. A slow steady retrieve worked well for me last week. Caught 20 in less than 2 hrs like this, some small, some bigger than your hand. Ultra light gear is a must to use 4-6 lb line and the small lures. There are other ways to catch 'em, but this worked well last week.
