I caught a 10 pound yellow cat in my back yard covering up a pile of shi_. But seriously -- The stripe are still hitting below G-ville Dam most of which are now hybrids from 3-8 lbs. I have seen or heard from reliable sources, a few stripers still being caught up to 18 pounds, mostly on sassy shad. Yellowtails (threadfin shad) are there but pretty hard to catch. They are running underneath the big gar along the rip-rap and I know better than to throw my cast net on top of them. Crawley bottoms (log perch) are still running along the wall as well as gizzard shad, but the yellowtails are scarce on the wall. Catfish are also hitting cut bait or shad guts bounced just off the bottom in the main current about 500-1000 yards below the powerhouse. Most are running in the 1-3 lb range but there are some BIG blue catfish to be caught. Let 'em go this time of year so they can do their part for future generations. Good Luck!!!
