The Cahaba River for one, and the Little Cahaba for another. It's been MANY years since I floated the Little Cahaba, but it is quite scenic and the flow should be good right now. There are tons of fish if you're in to trying that.
Many places you can beach/tie off your craft and cast about. There are Red-eye bass, LM, crappie, bream, etc. You can call Bulldog Bend Canoe park for directions to their location at Centreville,
Alabama, 205-926-7382. There is also the Locust Fork of the Warrior River, and Little River in north Alabama. Hope this helps.
