I figured I better strike while the iron is hot, so I went again Monday. TVA's web site had predicted identical conditions to Sunday. However, 9 flood gates on Monday did not seem to me to be the same as 3 flood gates on Sunday. You just never know.
The white bass were more scattered, but still caught 30 or more with maybe 8-10 being around 1-2 pounds. Decided to try drifting below the powerhouse just before dark. No boats is usually bad news. Maybe it was just the fear of the swift water, but we had it to ourselves. We caught 5 nice hybrids ranging from 3-8 pounds (two 8 pounders). All on sassy shad drifting from the old cafe point to the power lines.
