This may be a little farther than you planned to go, however, I caught a ton of White Bass on Saturday on Cane Creek. Cane Creek is on Pickwick Lake, not far from Wheeler, just a few miles below six mile island. We ran into these fish while fishing the banks in the very back of Cane Creek near the power plant. I believe that the plant is called "Calhoun." Anyway, there is a warm water discharge from the plant and there are a ton of fish on Cane Creek. We caught all of our White Bass on Chartreuse Grubs in the current. Slow retrieve and working it almost like a worm. You can access the boat ramp off of Hwy 72 if necessary, it is a little hard to find. This creek also has a spot called "horseshoe bend." Hope this helps.
