Wal-Mart sells them... at least the one in Madison does. I guess any Wal-Mart in towns along the river will sell the maps. The only good maps I have seen have all been publish my Atlantic Mapping Company in Marietta, Georgia (same as Wal-Mart sells). I used to live in Marietta and went to their office to get topo maps often. They pretty much have maps for all Alabama and Georgia lakes from what I remember.

I know you don't need raised relief maps, but others may be interested. They had some raised relief maps that were formed from plastic and showed a 3-D representation of areas to show mountains. AT least I know they had Georgia because it was on the wall for a demo. Those were about $20 each and I am not sure if they had the Tennessee Valley or how many would be required. My guess is 5 maps or $100 for the N. AL. stretch of rivers. If I had a basement, I think it would be really cool to have on a wall!
