I agree with Kerry that it's aggervatin'. But I also know that fish and fishermen rate pretty low on the list of priorities when it comes to water use, which in some respects is understandable. Both Wilson and Guntersville have been kept as low as I can remember, especially Wilson. Some added explanations may be the extreme cold night time lows of late, requiring more power, and perhaps the 9-11 events amended the power generation to create added power reserve for the arsenal, military contract factories, etc. Just guessing. I think the Tennessee river fish adjust pretty well to the fluctuation due to the numerous open water flats, but Alabama Power decided to keep Neely Henry up this year in part for the fish, and that was a great move for the fish, since those fish really rely on the creeks and bank flats for the spawn.
