I also do not like the off site weigh-ins. But, with the new technology in livewell systems the ride to Walmart is not a problem. The way the weigh-in is conducted after the fish are out of the livewell is a problem. I've kept bass alive for 6 days in my livewell, and released them fine. With the new systems, taking them to Walmart is no different than taking them from one end of the lake to the other. Most of the pros do have the new boats with improved systems. It's how bass are handled during the weigh-in, while they are waiting in bags for long periods of time that have no air that will kill them. However, most tournaments now use holding tanks, BassRX chemicals and they are supposed to change the water in the bags and insert the pro-air tubes into the bags.
