Thanks for the follow up's,however,I already
know what the law state's.Some people may not
understand but, alot of crappie fishermen like
to troll,spider-rig,drift,pull,etc...Most use
multiple pole set up's to do these type's of
fishing.I am one my self.I do not see what part
of conservation these limits serve. Some may worry
about fish mortality,but if that's the case,what
good is the size limits we already have?I strongly
believe if I catch and release a 8inch crappie,
under most circumstances that fish will survive.
I think we as fishermen already have enough
limits. If there is truly concern for our beloved
crappie, there are better ways to ensure their
future. One way would be a program to place
stucture in these aging reservoir's of our's.
There have been extensive studies on this in
Kentucky,and they have very successful.Our
crappie face many obstacles,as do all our fish,
but there are many positive ways to ensure all
their future without more limits on fishermen.
Let me close with saying,I'm not trying to make
nobody mad,or trying to shove my ideas down
anybody's throat.I just want the chance to be
heard,and maybe understood.
Thanks For Your Time,
