Guntersville crappie - not!

Fished Guntersville around Goose Pond and Seibold creek today with a good friend on his birthday. I wish it had been a better day fishing, although it did turn out to be a fairly nice day weather-wise.

Heard tales of yesterday and days before being good under the Hwy 79 bridge, but all we found was a few small yellow stripe there and one lm bass approx. 2 pounds.

Seibold was a little better. I snagged one crappie about 1/2 pound or so and my partner caught one the regular way. A few small yellow stripe and another bass.

I must be losing my touch as I have not caught a limit anywhere since fall of last year. If I don't find them soon in the "usual" places for this time of year, I am going to hang it up and start concentrating on the 'gills and shellcrackers which I expect to be strong in some places by the middle of March (fingers crossed).

Oh well, I'm getting tired of this "fishing" thing. I remember something called "catching" that was fun. (grin)

Good luck and good fishin'
