Kerry, my father has always told me that it was because of the cotton fields. Silt, pesticides ect are hurting the flint and even Elk rivers. He doesn't even fish the flint anymore, because he is convinced it is a lost cause. That map doesn't suprise me.

On the other hand, if it is farming interests which are hurting our environment, what do we do? The farmers are just trying to make a buck, and thats hard to do these days farming, so should the EPA restrict fertilizers and pesticides more even though it would set agriculture in this state back?

We arent dealing with an easy, black and white issue here. This is politics at its worst.
