Depends on what you are willing to spend. For G'Ville or Wheeler fishing the Garmin 240 (around $300.00 )should be a good bet. If you are planning to fish any deep Ala. Lakes or TN lakes, look at Bottom line Tournament Master or Lowrance X15A (both around 700.00). The higher true RMS and pixel count the better target definition and separation. To pick out those stacked jackfish/sauger clinging to the concrete or rocky bottoms, I would pick the Bottom Line products. (used by many pro Walleye fishermen up north). White bass were on a tear below Arab boat ramp when I was over the 21st, haven't been back since. We caught our limits of Sauger carolina rigging 3" gizzards, next to wing wall. Good luck !
