Hey Kerry, I have a used 12vlt Auto Pilot, variable speed, long shaft, very little use and in very good shape for $200. Lol, infact it is mounted on a 16' deep V Texas Maid boat, new decks, carpet, trailer, console steering, 60hp merc that needs work, livewell, sonar and all thta my friend is selling for 300.00. But, I have not been overly impressed with the electric steer motors. They are slow to turn, and you have to watch them to know what direction you are going, unlike knowing the direction by the position of your foot. There is more to go wrong with them, but on the upside, if something goes wrong with the steering, you can use them like a hand control till you get them fixed, unlike cable steer which requires special adaptors to convert them in the event of cable breakage. Drop me a line if you have any questions.
