Just thought I would give a report on the G'ville dam for this past weekend. I too started to go Friday evening, but for some reason I changed my mind. I seen my fishing buddy Sat. night and he told me I should have went. He went to the dam Friday night to bank fish about 5:30pm. He did not take a lantern,(not expecting to be there long) so he only fished for about an 1 1/2 hours. He reported that 5 flood gates were open and the river was very high and rising fast. Catch= 1 10lb hybrid stripe,1-3lb smallmouth,1-18lb drum,1 sauger, numerous decent size smallies and stripe. He hung a couple of big stripe but was unable to land them. Two guys below him had 8 nice sauger though.

Yeah, I am still kicking myself, flood waters don't necessarily mean bad fishing, just not as convenient for the fisherman.
