We've really been wearing them out under piers. White or chartreuse jigs shot under piers has been the ticket. Most of the fish have been hitting on the fall. If not, a slow retrieve back to the boat will pick up some fish. The key seems to be deeper water on the piers (8' or deeper). The crappie may be anywhere on the pier and they will not bite if you don't hit the exact spot. Shoot the jigs as far under the piers as you can.
