The bite on shad is pretty good below the dam in the slack water, and down river on the bluffs, points and around deeper piers in pockets. Best day was 34 bass, nearly all smallies and a big fish of 4-lbs. Shad were easy to get in Town Creek infront of Double Head, and should still be in there dispite all this rain. I normally get them there all winter. My last trip was all artificials, and clients caught smallies in the slack water below the dam on hair jigs, bitsy bugs and finesse worms worked on the rock piles. There seem to be a lot of smallies in the tailrace areas, but I can't get much in the way of size.
