Probably not much help, but I have often fished on the other side of the river and have had fairly good luck. The last two years have been kinda of tough, but we always went about sundown until 9pm. I have used various things to catch sauger, mostly curly tail jigs sometimes tipped with minnows. We have also caught them on small sassy shad. Whatever bait we used was slowly bumped across the bottom. The rougher the weather the better the fishing is. When Alex posts his article it should be of some great help.
