If you left at 6:30am, you may have missed the best hit... maybe not. Crappie seem to be less predictable lately on Guntersville. Current flow has a lot to do with the quality of the hit, not only under the bridges, but also on the deep drop offs I have been fishing. Usually when the current is slow or the water is still, the hit is slow. I haven't been to the Browns creek bridge from the bank in a while lately. One reason is my fishing partner had his back window broken out while parked on the 69 causeway a few weeks ago. On thursday we did try under there by boat later in the morning and managed to pick up a few small keepers on jigs, but there was little current and even the bream weren't hitting for us that day.
