Can anyone give me a little information on the smallies below Wilson dam this time of the year.I
have fished below the dam for several years but I
very seldom fish for bass, usually a limit of stripe is what I try for. A buddy of mine wants to try for Smallmouth more and I really don't know where to start, the few we have caught have been alot of fun. We haven't tried drifting shiners or shad, but I see a lot of folks doing that, are they more likley to hit crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs or what. I don't want specific spots, just general types of cover to fish, open water, humps, rockwalls, boatdocks?
Kerry, I have been visiting your site for a couple of years and I really enjoy it,It's nice to know that someone loves fishing the river as much as I do,even though I don't get to go as much as I want to, but who does? keep up the good work and everyone please wear your PFD ,I can promise you no matter how well you can swim the water is too cold to last long. Everyone Have A Great Week
